WeekEnd Warrior - Summit reached with Boys
I hit the summit of Barrier Lake for the third time. A first for my boys. Even with the belly aching and resistance. They had a blast once we hit the open air and saw the lake. Far to many people for my liking but I did enjoy getting out again. A 4 year old made the summit yesterday. Met the new Home owner as Chip retired at 72 years of age. Also a great addition was Flaco the dag. "Flaco" means skinny in Spanish. He did not like me at first, but he relaxed after a few sniffs. The dog did not like my wardrobe.
I was the first to summit. Then my Youngest. Then my eldest who stayed behind to help other folks along. I'm to competitive. But at least I'm raising a couple of gentlemen. Maybe I need to take more lessons from them instead of giving them lessons. (Kidding) I'm a pretty good guy. Here are the images of our Summit. It was their first. They even had a chance to sign the book. Proves they made the top of Barrier Lake and the Helicopter pad and the watch tower. Really great experience to share with them.

You made your point, now out of my head.
Had a short conversation with someone Friday evening. I can't shake the idea of what was said. So unfair. I'm not good with psychological warfare. The only thing I have going for me is... No one will ever accuse me of being the smartest person in the room. Sometimes I'm thankful for that, Not this weekend though. You win, Please walk away. I'm not worthy of verbal battles where I'm at a major committed disadvantage.
I'm good with the idea of letting the verbal battle end. Honestly - you win.

Eagle Lake Alberta
We did not see eagles but a giant 1 meter long swan...Maybe bigger. | The thing was huge.
What I learned was teens don't paddle. Teens learned you don't upset parents or you die of Hypothermia. You better appreciate the burger in your belly too. I was dead set on leaving the city. Canoe or hike. It was happening. With or without the family. I was leaving the city limits. Lucky for them they decided to follow and built some character too. A few friendly locals around. Not a major issue. They were more curious about us then we cared about them. They don't get many visitors. I should direct them to customer service work. Then they won't be so curious.
Then a Millionaire or Billionaire flew over head in their helicopter... Not sure if we were trespassing or if they were shocked to see people on the near freezing waters. Hey-we are Canadian. We have endured far worse. Like always we were left alone. No harm and no foul. Only the cows and swans took an interest and mmooooo! to the babies to stay away from us when they wandered to close to the water shore. Have a great week end.

Pre-Released - Yes!
I'll be breaking the sleep threshold with the week end per-release. I have a plan to win a few and that could involve a surprise in the pool I draw from. We will see what happens next. Three days to prep... Let the training begin.

Table Top Gaming
The game world has changed a lot over the last 20 years. What has remained constant is the idea of community and comradeship. Nothing beats getting around a table of friends and having an adventure. Telling a tale and acting out the mighty feats of your character. Even better is having the odd map or character illustration on the board that shows who you are and where you're at when telling the epic adventure feats. We game fairly often and also found that collecting and sharing our figures adds fun to every ones game table.
Role Playing Game Figure Flats Coloring Book is a Hit for us. The second version has a few more traditional creatures in it. Though the first Role Playing Game Figure Flats Coloring Book has us holding fond memories that keep us at the game table.
No matter what version you choose. Coloring and customizing your village people or game table is the best part of any game. The art is great too. It carries with it a consistent feel that helps to explain the scene you're playing in.
We give it a high score of 2 thumbs up.

Book writing...
Another book is in the works.
Strange how ideas flow, yet they need to be further developed for smooth reading. Still 20 + pages have spilled from my cranium.
A few spot illustrations too. Now what is going to happen next? Ideas need to keep talking to me. Enjoy your day!
